Align…

Joshua 24:14-15
Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness…then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

(Luke 9:23-25) “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me…”

(John 15:4-8) Remain in me , and I will remain in you…Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me…apart from me you can do nothing.

(I John 2:24-28) See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us – even eternal life…And now dear children continue in him…

(Romans 12:2) Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.

(Hebrews 10:13-18, I Corinthians 2:10-16, Psalm 119:10-11) …I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds…we have the mind of Christ…I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Each day, as believers, we have to make a choice. Are we going to follow the ways of this World or are we going to align our steps with the Father? Are we going to follow and abide in Christ? We have believed Him and His Word for our salvation but have we believed Him for the abundant life now (John 10:10)? Why then are we still struggling to grab a hold of “life” using the tactics and guidance of the World?

How do you daily align your heart and mind and ultimately your steps with the will of the Father? You must get to know the Father by spending time with Him in His Word. Let His Word abide in you. Search His Word. Learn who He is. Learn what He is willing and able to do. Then you will know Him. You will know where He is leading you. You will know what choices are right for you. You will be able adjust your thoughts, opinions and decisions to align with those of the Father. You have the mind of Christ.

What choice will you make today? Are you going to live today in agreement with the World or the Word?
